TIRANA, March 9 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama said Saturday that a joint working group has been established with the neighbouring country regarding the new bridge project over Buna River, designed to connect the Albanian coastal town of Velipoje and Ulqin in Montenegro, designed tio become the most beautiful symbol of cooperation between the two countries.
Speaking at a press conference after a meeting with his cabinet members and the country’s mayors, the government head expressed confidence that the bridge project will be pushed forward.
Asked about ratification of the agreement by the Parliament of Montenegro, PM Rama said that the bridge project was an idea tabled by the former Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazoviç, which was endorsed by the Albanian government.
“We have established joint working group with Montenegro regarding this issue. We should now include it in the process and start construction of the bridge,” PM Rama said.
