TIRANA, Feb 28 /ATA/- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, on Wednesday appreciated Albania’s support and commitment to his country.
In a joint press conference alongside the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, Kuleba expressed his gratitude to Albania for standing by the side of Ukraine.
He also expressed his gratitude for hosting the Summit on Ukraine in Tirana.
“I am grateful to you for hosting this important summit because it involves a large volume of work and shows how much respect Albania enjoys in the region. It will send across a clear message that we stand united and uphold our shared values. I want to thank Albania for its humanitarian undertaking that included the rehabilitation of Ukrainian children whose parents were killed in the war. Any support that Albania offers to Ukraine is appreciated. I remember the mandate of Albania in the Security Council and the way you stood up for Ukraine in the Security Council meeting efficiently chaired by Rama in 2023”, said Kuleba.
He said that he had informed Minister Hasani about the situation in the frontline and about the drone and missile attacks from Russia.
“It is important that Russia be held accountable for war crimes. We would like to intensify the efforts. We appreciate that Albania has joined the international register of damages for Ukraine caused by Russia, “ the Ukrainian chief diplomat said.
