TIRANA, Feb 9 /ATA/ The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, stated on Friday at the election assembly of the DP branch in Kruja, that “we take upon ourselves to build a government for the people and with the people.”
According to him, the question that will concern the Democratic Party is whether or not a policy serves the Albanians and if the answer is no, then this policy cannot be followed any more.
“We will start taxes, which are the highest,” said Basha. “Over 800,000 Albanians were supposed to live a better life. 230 new schools were expected to be built with 460 million euros that were given for the concessions,” Basha said.
“Kruja is a city very much known to Europe, it has gone down into legends for the ability of its inhabitants to cope with the toughest challenges that the human mind can endure. Even the adversities that we have befallen us throughout these 2 years, are without a doubt the biggest difficulties, the biggest challenges that the democrats could have thought of 2 years ago. And the motto of this assembly is to build the future”, said Basha.
Basha also spoke about SPAK. “As a political party, it is up to us to support SPAK to put an end to impunity. If you stand against corruption, then you should support SPAK. The deputies who follow closely the earthquake issues told me that the buildings in Kruja have been completed, but the affected residents have not received the keys yet. They want to drag the process out until the next elections. This act is outrageous and as such deserves to meet with revolt, but also our alignment with any body, including reports to SPAK,” concluded Basha.
