Koçiu: Medical care at home is offered in 31 centers

TIRANA, February 4/ATA/ Health care in the house is already offered in 31 medical centers, under the principle “no one is disappointed”.

Minister of Health and Social Protection Albana Koçiu said that this model will be extended throughout the country, with the aim of optimizing the provision of social and health services, where the focus is on the most vulnerable patients, the elderly, patients with chronic diseases and those who cannot leave their home due to their health condition.

Minister Koçiu shared in the social media photos of the visits that doctors make at the patients’ homes.

“Inclusion and access to services of the vulnerable groups are the essence of this model, aiming for efficient care for everyone, regardless of their health and social difficulties”, said Koçiu.

Minister Koçiu also expressed her gratitude to the medical teams, doctors and nurses, for their dedication every day in the service of the citizens.
