Balluku sees first-hand Driving License Testing Ground: Dedicated space increases standards and transparency

TIRANA, Jan 24 /ATA/ The Practical Testing Ground for driving licenses is the next investment of the General Directorate of Road Transport Services.

A space entirely dedicated to candidates who want to obtain a driving license that offers optimal conditions and standards, while increasing transparency. Also, the Digital Educational Center of Virtual Simulations, part of this space, has all the necessary equipment to train and teach about driving, as well as simulate different situations.

Deputy Prime Minister, also Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, having seen first-hand the investment, conveyed her congratulations to the new director of DPSHTRR, Ilir Mëngra and expressed confidence that he will keep up the good work at the helm of this institution, which provides a large number of services to citizens.
Speaking about the investment made, director Mëngra emphasized that this intervention resolves a long-standing problem and already offers high security and transparency.

“Before coming to this track, which is the Practical Testing Ground for driving license and the Digital Educational Center of Virtual Simulations, we struggled with practical testing during the parking phase. Due to the fact that there was no track, we found ourselves working in informal premises in Tirana”, he said, adding that the investment made entails a track of about 6 thousand square meters through funding out of DPSHTRR budget.
124 tests are conducted daily at this training ground, while there are over 130 thousand tests in the span of a year.

Minister Balluku said that thanks to the work and investments made, DPSHTRR has significantly increased the standard and quality of service to citizens, becoming an example for the innovations that have brought relief to the citizens.

“DPSHTRR has definitely set a new standard for all other companies, how innovation should work, how the companies and enterprises themselves should be able to bring in income, income which will then be translated into investments, as we have done in the case of DPSHTRR. I take the opportunity here to thank my colleague, the Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, who has undoubtedly been the initiator and pioneer of all the changes that have materialized in DPSHTRR,” she said.

Minister of Infrastructure and Energy underlined the importance of continuing investments, with special focus on technology and its application to elevate the quality of service to a whole new level.
