TIRANA, Jan 23 /ATA/ – Albania’s Finance Ministry bid four billion lek worth of ten-year Treasury notes at an average yield of 6.78%, whereas the total demand was estimated at 4.77 billion lek at the latest auction of the government securities held by the Bank of Albania a day ago.
Data from the central bank showed that the yield on ten-year Treasury notes increased to 6.78% from 6.44% in the last auction in October 2023.
The Ministry of Finance decided to increase the bid to 4.15 billion.
The rising yield on the government securities is driven by the increased amount bid by the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
