TIRANA, Jan 23 /ATA/ – The Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro attended the first meeting of the Inter-institutional Council of Tourism Statistics on Tuesday.
Tourism Minister said that the newly-established Council will help in processing data on the country’s tourism.
“Together with the Albanian Development Fund, the Bank of Albania, the National Institute of Statistics, INSTAT, the Ministry of Interior and a number of other institutions we are cooperating and working on building an international unified system – Tourism Satellite Account – an ambitious project in harmony with the new National Tourism Strategy for 2024-2030 and with the new legal improvements to provide real-time data accessible at any moment,” Kumbaro said in a post on the social media.
This new methodology of tourism statistics will be aligned with the international methodology approved by the World Tourism Organization.
