TIRANA, Jan 19 /ATA/ – Germany strongly supports Albania’s European Union integration process, further reform efforts and the country’s sustainable development, German Ambassador Karl Bergner said in his remarks at a meeting hosted by the German Association of Industry and Trade in Albania.
Bergner said that the annual meeting of the German Association of Industry and Trade in Albania represented a great opportunity to exchange ideas over economic perspective in 2024.
According to him, the presence of the newly-appointed Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhja, just one day after he took office, was a symbol of close German-Albanian relations in economy.
German Ambassador noted that Albanian economy performed positively last year.
He put emphasis on the importance of further progress in Albania’s EU membership process, which Germany strongly supports.
“Germany will also continue to support further reforms in the area of the rule of law and the promotion of sustainable growth through German Economic Cooperation measures,” Bergner said.
