TIRANA, January 11 /ATA/ The government will draft a new reference framework on the capacities of the hotels in certain seasons.
Finance Minister Ervin Mete said during a briefing after the government meeting that the reference methodology will be used for the taxation of the operators so that there is a fair statement of the exploitation of capacities by the tourist operators.
“Given that tourism has assumed an extraordinary development, a fiscal approach is necessary so that the sector makes its contribution to economy and state budget”, said Mete.
The minister explained the fiscal amendment to the law “On tourism” that is proposed today to the Assembly.
“The change consists in introducing a methodology for the tour operators about exploitation of the capacities and this will be a reference for the taxation of the operators so that the statements of the tourist operators are as accurate as possible”, stated the minister./p.s./
