TIRANA, January 8 /ATA/ The Office of the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Protection of Personal Data fixed today the dates of the 15th edition of the International Conference of Information Commissioners (ICIC).
This is the most important world activity for promoting the culture of transparency and accountability of public authorities and will be held in Tirana on June 3, 4 and 5, 2024.
The Commissioner’s Office believes that this Conference will serve as a platform for dealing with views, challenges and opportunities with its partners, with representatives of the academic world, local and foreign civil society organizations and media subjects.
This major activity, held for the first time in Albania and in the Western Balkans region, aims to give a concrete impetus to the advancement in this field, for the respect of this basic individual right, as one of the main factors for a functional democratic society./p.s./
