Yield on 2-year T-notes rises 4.23%

TIRANA, Dec 6 /ATA/ – Yield rates on the two-year treasury notes slightly rose 4.23% in the latest auction in December.

The Bank of Albania said Tuesday that the average yield rates slightly went up from 4.18% in the previous action.

The rising yield on the government securities is driven by the increased amount bid by the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

The government bid an amount of 1 billion lek worth in two-year treasury notes, but the total demand was estimated at 762 million lek at the latest auction of the government securities held by the Bank of Albania.

The yield on the two-year T-notes was 3.24%, close to the Bank’s key repo rate.
