USD gets stronger, but Euro depreciates

TIRANA, December 5/ATA/ In the foreign currency exchange market on Tuesday, the euro continued to depreciate, unlike the US dollar, which strengthened its position against the Lek.

According to the Bank of Albania, one euro was exchanged today at the level of 101.56 Lekë, about 0.19 Lekë less than yesterday. While the USD strengthened by 0.07 Lekë and is exchanged at 93.70 Lekë.

The British pound and the Swiss franc are also exchanged today in opposite positions. Respectively, the British currency has depreciated by 0.27 Lekë, while the Swiss franc has strengthened by 0.05 Lekë.

Since the beginning of December, the euro has depreciated by 0.6 Lekë against the Lek. Experts argue that the euro is expected to be weak, given that we have already entered the last month of the year and the festive season will affect the exchange rate.
