TIRANA, December 3/ATA/ Rozafa Castle, the main tourist attraction of the Northern city of Shkodra, has recorded an increase in visitor numbers throughout the month of November.
Statistics show that Rozafa Castle had 2419 more tourists than in November 2022, i.e. a total of 5661 local and foreign tourists, from November 1-30, 2023.
The Regional Directorate of Cultural Heritage Shkodra invited history enthusiasts to spend some weekend rich in history and unforgettable adventures in this castle.
The castle of Shkodra, which bears the name Rozafa, is a thousand-year-old monument erected on a rocky hill at the entrance of the city, from its south-eastern side. It turns out to have been built since antiquity, resisting centuries to our days.
From the third courtyard of the castle, there can be seen a fantastic landscape. The natural phenomenon of confluence of the well-known rivers: Buna, Kiri and Drini offers an unusual sight. /p.s./
