TIRANA, November 24/ATA/ Chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha stated today that the Democratic Party has electoral reform as its priority.
In his speech at the roundtable on electoral reform, Basha said that, “For Albanians and for Albanian democracy, the moment has come for the electoral system to return to the center of public debate, before political factors declare that it is too late”.
He added that, “The proposal of the Democratic Party, already filed for decision-making in the Electoral Reform Commission, is the one for the true and complete opening of the lists in a national proportional system”.
Secondly, Basha emphasized, “It’s to enable the vote of our compatriots who live in emigration”.
Basha added that the Democratic Party has filed the law on the vetting of politicians in the Parliament of Albania./p.s./
