Agalliu: DP distances itself from violence and boycott in Assembly

TIRANA, November 20/ATA/ Secretary of the Democratic Party, MP Arbi Agalliu stated that today the Parliament was set to hold the most important session of the year for the draft budget, but according to him, today in the Parliament there was a confusing mishmash and no one can say who lit the flares and who put them out.

“Actually, Albanians have already clearly understood that they lit the flares and put them out by themselves because some of them have troubles and personal problems with justice, especially with SPAK, and some others take advantage to approve in just 10 minutes and without any discussion the draft budget for 2024”, continued Agalliu.

“It is a matter of about 7 billion euros that are expected to be spent in 2024. There was no space allowed in the plenary session and in the Parliamentary committees to discuss these expenses. The reason is clear and it’s known who prevents it and who encourages it. There is a common blocking scenario,” he said.

“The Democratic Party strongly distances itself from violence and boycott. The Democratic Party continues to serve the citizens, not only with the submission of amendments, but also with the daily denunciation of this clientelist budget”, said Agalliu./r.e/p.s./
