TIRANA, Nov 6 /ATA/ – A new wage system for Albania’s Power Distribution Operator (OSHEE) is set to enter into force by end of this month and it includes pay hike up to 30% for the power utility workers.
The Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, also Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, said Monday that the wage reform in this sector focuses on the pay rise for the field workers, electricians, technicians and billers.
The Deputy PM underlined that this group of workers play the most important role in collecting the utility revenue.
“The electrician’s wage will edge up to 70,000 lek from a current monthly salary of 50,000 lek,” Balluku said.
According to Deputy PM, the new pay rise for workers in the energy sector is part of the wage reform launched by government in April.
