PM Rama: Justice system reform is irreversible

TIRANA, Nov 3 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/ – The justice reform in Albania is irreversible, Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Friday, adding that the ruling Socialist Party (SP) is to be credited with the initiation and implementation of the overhaul of the country’s justice system.

Addressing the SP Assembly meeting in Fier, southern Albania, PM Rama said that it was not “the United States of America that delivered on the justice reform, but the ruling SP.”

“However, SP found and enjoyed massive support from the strategic allies. We wouldn’t have delivered on this reform without them,” PM Rama said.

The government head also denied the opposition’s claims that the SP has allegedly taken justice system under its control.

Rama stated that the justice reform has commenced now, but new justice will serve everyone in the future, because the reform is irreversible.
