Mayoral elections in Kukës, Celibashi: No technical problems, the process is running smoothly

TIRANA, Sept 24 /ATA/ The Chief Commissioner of the Central Electoral Commission, Ilirian Celibashi, in a media statement, emphasized that there were no technical problems regarding the electoral process in the city of Kukës.

Celibashi, who traveled to the northeastern city to closely follow the election process for the mayor of this city, said that the process is running smoothly.

“My arrival here in Kukës is not related to any problem. We came with a large team to assist as much as possible the election administration staff that manages the election process,” Celibashi said.

“From what has been reported so far, there were no problems in the technical aspect of the process. Representatives of the coalition
“Together We win” have raised concern over the presence in some voting centers of people who were keeping track of the voters who cast the ballot. But when we went to these centers, at least at that time, there were no people around and in general there were no reports of problems. But we have addressed such concern”, said Celibashi.
When asked about the opening of the civil registry office, Celibashi said that this has nothing to do with the responsibility of the CEC.

Celibashi also guaranteed that the necessary measures have been taken to ensure a smooth counting process.
