Balla: More road security through advanced technology

TIRANA, September 22 /ATA/ In the municipality of Kamza, there has been set up a complete system of monitoring the territory with cameras, which is used by the State Police to increase security parameters.

Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla, Mayor Rakip Suli and senior and local leaders of the Police had a close look at the Operative Room where the camera footage is monitored.

Tirana Police Director Tonin Vocaj explained that the installed cameras also read vehicle license plates, when they are ‘alert’ or belong to another vehicle.

Minister Balla said that the school perimeter surveillance system should be closed and completed.

“We also agreed with Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj that the investment that is expected to start next year will also be there. Then, it will be easy for us to integrate Tirana and Kamza. People with criminal activity can be relocated to Kamza and vice versa. And with these cameras, we can follow them”, said Balla.

Head of Kamza police station Oliger Torba said that since 20 days ago, according to the order of the General Director of the State Police, some additional cameras are being placed inside the security perimeter of the schools.

The expert explained that the system also detects noises as well as the notification of fines.

General Director of the State Police Muhamet Rrumbullaku confirmed that the investment of Kamza Municipality is the best for monitoring at the country level, which serves the residents the best and includes the level of security where all actors and factors contribute./p.s./
