Beci: Schools at the service of community, without interfering with learning process

TIRANA, Sept 14 /ATA/ The courtyards and gymnasiums of the schools in the municipality of Shkodra will also be accessible to the community.

The news was announced by the mayor of Shkodra, Benet Beci, who held a meeting on Thursday with the director of the Local Office for Pre-University Education and the school principles.

“The educational facilities are administered by the municipality, so I discussed with them the initiative to make their courtyards and gymnasiums available to the community, without interfering with the learning process”, Beci said.

Mayor Beci said that “public spaces that are accessible for the residents of the neighborhoods and administrative units of Shkodra are only the first step towards more spaces for the residents, from the youngest to the elderly, to play, to train or relax in nature free of charge”.

The opening of community schools focuses on strengthening of the school-family-community partnership. Various sports, cultural and artistic activities are offered in schools. Also, they are helpful in improving the achievements and develop the potential of each student.
The school is no longer conceived as a separate environment, but as an institution at the service of all.
