TIRANA, August 30 /ATA/ Statistics for the period 2015-2021 show that the courts of first instance considered over 19,000 labor disputes, the vast majority of which are related to individual disputes that have mainly to do with termination of work agreements, payment of wages, overtime hours, etc.
During this period, about 6,400 cases have been left unfinished in the courts of first instance.
Minister of Finance and Economy Delina Ibrahimaj, present at the conference held by the ILO, “Access to justice for labor disputes through mediation and conciliation”, assessed that the objective is the promotion of social dialogue and settlement of disputes.
“There have been set up state conciliation offices which are already functional in all 12 regions of the country”, the minister added.
Ibrahimaj said that the resolution of disputes at work through mediation is a new field; it is a path that has just been opened, but it is in line with the entire government strategy so that the working conditions are understood, implemented and be solved as simply as possible. /p.s./
