PM Rama: No fund of 100 million euros approved to recycle waste in Fier and Elbasan

TIRANA, Aug 25 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama denied Friday media reports suggesting that the government had allocated a fund of 100 million euros to tackle recycling of urban waste in the cities of Fier and Elbasan.

“To the saying ‘a fool may throw a stone into a well which a hundred wise men cannot get out’, I am going to add the Official Gazette, for every stupid devil from those who have invented this, suggesting that in its Priority Policies Document the government has decided to allocate over 100 million euros to recycle waste in Fier and Elbasan. However, the government hasn’t made such a decision,” PM Rama said.

The government head explained that the document includes projected funds that are not related to the state budget, but also to possible alternative funding.

PM Rama urged media to refer to official sources for information.
