TIRANA, August 21 /ATA/ Minister of Education and Sports Evis Kushi has promoted at times the beauties of Albania in social media by posting photos or videos of various tourist gems located in our country.
This time, Kushi chose to post photos from Cape of Rodon or Cape of Skanderbeg, a rocky cape on the Adriatic Sea north of Durrës, Albania.
“Cape of Rodon is another pearl of the Adriatic appealing to all holidaymakers to enjoy not only the wonderful beach, but also the history that this place carries”, emphasized Kushi.
Minister Kushi said that, “Not only the Ionian Riviera in the south of Albania, but also the Adriatic offers treasures full of beauty and history to be tasted by all local and foreign visitors.
One of them is Cape of Rodon, with the castle built by the sea by Skanderbeg, the St. Anthony Church, which is also known as the “church of miracles”, the amazing panorama and full of attractions that make this area one of the most favorite on the tourist map of the Adriatic”.
Cape of Rodon has the shape of a triangle between the bays of Rodon and that of Lalez, it forms a strip of land in the shape of a peninsula that enters the interior of the Adriatic Sea.
This jewel of nature is an extremely interesting place above all for its picturesque location: a rocky stretching towards the sea, formed by cliffs surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation and fragrant flowers.
In this place, every visitor finds the best combination of history, nature and the sea. In the northeastern part of the Cape, there is one of the most important objects of cultural heritage, the Skanderbeg Castle. /k.s/p.s./
