TIRANA, August 17/ATA/ In context of the investigation carried out by SPAK on the sterilization concession, the Court against Organized Crime and Corruption has signed the arrest order of 2 people, while 8 others are under investigation.
According to the press release, SPAK started the investigation into the sterilization concession on January 13, 2020, registering criminal proceedings no. 13, which refers to the criminal offenses of “Abuse of duty” in cooperation, “Violation of the equality of participants in tenders or public auctions” carried out in cooperation, “Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials”, in connection with the concession awarding procedure “For integrated services for the provision of a personalized set of surgical instruments, the supply of sterile medical material in surgical rooms, as well as the treatment of biological waste and the disinfection of surgical rooms from the Ministry of Health”.
“After the registration of the criminal proceedings, there was carried out an extremely large number of investigative actions.
“The National Bureau of Investigation and the General Directorate of the State Police executed the decision. Investigations continue toward identifying the criminal responsibility of other persons who during this procedure have committed actions in violation of the law and the regular fulfillment of the duty”, concluded the press release of the SPAK./p.s./
