TIRANA, Aug 9 /ATA/ The number of luxury yachts docked at the Port of Durrës has increased significantly, as has the length of their stay.
The Durrës Port Authority shared images showing some of the anchored yachts on social media today, underlining that Albania is turning into a destination for elite tourism as well.
Despite the rumors that yachts come to Albania only to refuel, according to the DPA, “the length of their stay on our shores proves that our country is turning into a destination for elite tourism as well.”
Albania has recorded a high flow of foreign visitors during the January-June period of this year, with an increase of 33% more than the same period last year.
