TIRANA, Aug 4 / ATA/ In the meeting with the structures of Berati Local Police Directorate, Minister of Interior Taulant Balla stated that increasing public trust in the Police is a matter of urgency and by no means an easy process.
In the conversation with the structures of Berat, the Minister emphasized that the key to success is building team spirit and aiming for honesty in the ranks of the police.
“The process of cleaning up the State Police has entered a new phase,”, said the minister, among other things.
Regarding the public perception of the Police, Balla underlined that people judge actions and not words, calling on citizens to support the Police.
“People don’t judge us by what we say, but by the actions we take, the example we set, the model we create. Building trust in the State Police is an urgent task, but also a difficult process. I appeal to every citizen from Berat today to have faith!”
Regarding the process of countering the phenomena of corruption or inaptitude, the Minister said that “I am aware that success in my work is impossible without the leaders and honest employees of the State Police.
