TIRANA, Aug 1 /ATA/ The Levan-Vlora axis has been completed and reset to operation in accordance with all road safety parameters.
Prime Minister Edi Rama published Tuesday on social media pictures from this road axis, which eases the increased flow of traffic heading to the south of the country in this summer season.
The opening of this road for traffic breathes new life into the area stretching from Fier to Vlora. Likewise, the old Levan-Vlora axis serves agriculture and agri-tourism in the area.
The completion of the reconstruction of the old road has shortened the road by 5 km, eliminating dangerous curves. The Levan-Vlora axis has been widened from 6 to 8 meters and is connected to the Vlora bypass following the Trans-Balkan route for those who want to travel to Vlora or the south of the country.
The works entailed the reconstruction of bridges, culverts, the repair and construction of retaining walls, the correction of curves, resetting it to operation in accordance with the standards of a contemporary road, complete with signage and all road safety parameters.
The new road not only relieves the traffic, but also offers travel convenience and a glimpse into the breathtaking landscape of the south of Albania./m.m/sm/
