TIRANA, July 23 /ATA/ Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Frida Krifca inspected in the Southern resort of Saranda the work progress of the task force for food safety. This task force has increased readiness in tourist areas for monitoring and control of food business operators of production, processing, storage, trading, bars, restaurants and hotels.
Krifca said that about 100 inspectors of the National Food Authority are verifying on the ground implementation of food safety standards in the 12 regions of the country.
“In beautiful Saranda, full of local and foreign visitors, where, together with Olti and the Food Safety Task Force team for the summer tourist season, we have increased vigilance to protect the health of holiday-makers, who are even more numerous this year,” said Krifca. /p.s./
