TIRANA, May 17 /ATA/ – More than 1.6million real-time applications and documents were recorded and issued via the unique e-Albania platform in April alone.
The Minister of State for Standards and Services Milva Ekonomi said that around 640,000 electronically generated documents contained e-stamp.
“E-Albania portal has delivered public services to more than 2.9 million registered applicants in the country and abroad,” Ekonomi said.
Citizens and businesses alike are granted quick access to public services via the online e-Albania portal and the documents they need to obtain and provide are eliminated.
The e-Albania portal currently provides 1225 various public services to the Albanian citizens.
Digital public services and digital government are top priorities for the Albanian government in delivering the sustainable development goals, because digitization is the best tool to combat corruption, reduce bureaucracy and give a significant impetus to economic growth.
Digitalization of the public service delivery system as part of the government’s digital revolution has turned out to be a success story that has drawn praise from the international organizations like OECD, UN, State Department, the European Commission and RESPA.
