TIRANA, May 10 /ATA/ – The sixth episode of Albania Prime Minister Edi Rama’s podcast featured Arjeta Puca, a successful and self-reliant businesswoman who owns a company that specializes in manufacturing and refurbishing vehicles.
Her company has been picked by the United Nations Organization to manufacture 500 ambulances that will be donated to Ukraine.
“We will be together with a very special girl, a star from Bulqiza who, after having travelled throughout the world since she was an infant, has ultimately decided to work and live here in Albania. I am really sorry for not having known her earlier, but I am fully confident she will make a name for herself and will come to be known by everyone as the designer and manufacturer of the first made in Albania car,” PM Rama wrote after posting the conversation with her on the social media.
PM Rama affirmed his government support for Arjeta’s company.
“It would be an honor for me to be recruited as loader to hold the burden of support and push things forward to make sure that one day Arjeta becomes a manufacturer of the first made in Albania car. I don’t know I imagined it a red Ferrari from the Balkans,” Rama said.
Arjeta voiced optimism that she really could start manufacturing cars in a near future.
“It could be best the case that we start manufacturing cars from scratch,” she said.
In 2016, together with her family, Arjeta launched TIMAK, the first woman-owned company that specializes in refurbishing vehicles, including ambulances, fire trucks, waste trucks, border-patrol vehicles, and other vehicles in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Turkey, Bulgaria etc.
