TIRANA, May 9 /ATA/ Known as the city of 85 lakes, Belshi has become one of the most visited destinations by local and foreign tourists.
Prime Minister Edi Rama was in Belsh today and met some visitors from Kosovo.
“Belshi, where until yesterday there was nothing even for its own people, today welcomes visitors and tourists in winter and summer”, wrote Rama in a post on social media.
Rama talked with a citizen from Ferizaj, Kosovo, who said that, “They suggested it to me; they told me that it is a beautiful place and I came to visit it. But, it is really beautiful”.
“If there is any European politician here in the Balkans who carries European values, you are one of them”, said the citizen from Ferizaj to PM Rama.
Further on, Rama said that, “Belshi is very beautiful, but it will become even more beautiful”.
Within a year, 150 thousand visitors and tourists come to Belsh. The 85 karst lakes of Belsh are especially visited by foreign tourists, but in recent years, with the transformation that has been done to this area of extraordinary natural beauty, the flow of visitors is also increasing with local visitors./k.s/p.s./
