TIRANA, May 6 /ATA/- The Socialist Party candidate for Shkodra mayor, Benet Beci, has published a video on social media showing him riding a motorcycle on the roads in northern Albania, where investments in infrastructure have propelled tourism into development in the Vermoshi area.
Beci informs that the road from Hani i Hoti to Vermosh has also connected this area with Plava, Gucia and even Podgorica.
He says that Dukagjini road is also in line to be refurbished and deliver an impact on development of the area.
Beci held a meeting for the urban development and infrastructure of the city and the entire territory of Shkodra Municipality, with architects, engineers, builders and representatives of the stakeholders.
“It was a pleasure to invite to the meeting my colleague of almost 10 years and also my friend, Jesus Hernadez. He is the architect with whom I have collaborated for many years now on many projects in Albania and Shkodra, such as Marubi, Shiroka and a number of other projects lined up to be implemented, such as the Shkodra entrance project. We also consider Hernandez a close friend of Shkodra and a good acquaintance of the city for his contribution over the years”, he says.
Beci emphasizes that his program is ambitious for the infrastructure and urban development of the entire city and municipality.
“I have a large package of transformative projects at hand which, I know very well from experience, can only become a reality with the cooperation of the best professionals. It is important to prepare for a high volume of work that will require measurements, studies, design and supervision. The City Hall’s door is open for cooperation. The lack of development in Shkodër has taken its toll, but at least (to some extent, despite all the mistakes) there is no irreparable damage to the urban layout in Shkodra and Velipoja. But now the time has come to capitalize on these resources with the mindset of sustainable development,” he said.
