TIRANA, April 20 /ATA/ DP MP Jorida Tabaku reacted today after the government’s decision to raise salaries for the public sector.
In a post on social networks, Tabaku raised the concern of who will pay the bill, saying that the burden will fall on the Albanians.
“Today, the government announced that it will increase salaries for the public sector. This is a very late initiative considering that the competition of the public sector has been poor in relation to salaries. Today, however, the Minister of Finance stated that the increase in wages will come from the increase in revenues. What revenues?” said Tabaku.
Also, Tabaku said that Albania ranks last in the region for the minimum and average salary, for income per capita and for many other indicators.
“On the other hand, core inflation is the highest in the region and the chances are that this will continue”, she continued the analysis./p.s./
