TIRANA, April 6/ATA/ Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Olta Xhaçka received today Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Minister Xhaçka appreciated the positive progress of relations between the two countries and especially the intensification of cooperation in the economic field, through concrete investments, the agreement recently reached on lifting of visas for Albanian citizens visiting the UAE, starting from April 19, 2023 and their support in the field of cyber security.
In terms of multilateral cooperation, Minister Xhaçka and her UAE counterpart focused on the contribution that both countries are making during their service in the UN Security Council, as two member states that cooperate and mainly share similar interests and assessments for the majority of the crises that are on the agenda of the UN SC.
In conclusion, the chief diplomats also exchanged opinions on the developments in the respective regions, stressing that the spirit of resolving conflicts through negotiations is an essential contribution to regional peace, security and beyond./p.s./
