TIRANA, March 13 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/ – The Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, said today that without the punishment of the crimes of communism and the law of lustration, the transition will not come to an end.
In a post on social media, Tabaku criticizes the Democratic Party regarding the decommunization of the past.
Referring to the survey by Albanian Stats, the opinion on the role of Enver Hoxha in the history of Albania, according to regions and demographics, based on a survey conducted in 2015, Tabaku emphasizes that very little has been done by the Democratic Party in terms of the punishment of crimes of communism.
“The Democratic Party should have done more in informing and documenting and condemning the crimes of communism and the monist system! Thousands suffered in communist prisons and many died, were killed for a democratic system,” Tabaku writes.
Also, Tabaku emphasizes that without the law of lustration and the punishment of the crimes of communism, the transition will not end.
“This should be a lesson for the future. Without condemning the crimes of communism, the system, without lustration and without the knowledge about that terrible isolation, we cannot put the transition to rest,” writes Tabaku.
