“Sitting cross-legged with International Representatives,” ambassador Zingraf converses with young people

TIRANA, March 10 /ATA/ The discussion format entitled “Sitting cross-legged with International Representatives” that brings together high representatives of embassies, international organizations in Albania and young people, kicked off on Thursday.
The first guest of this format was the ambassador of Germany in Albania, Peter Zingraf.

In a friendly conversation with them, Zingraf spoke about his experience in Albania as an ambassador and as a citizen, he told the young people how much he and his wife love Albania, how they spend their weekends walking and exploring the trails and mountains of our country.

When asked what are the things he likes most about Albania, he mentioned nature and food as the two main things.
During the conversation, he recalled how 4 years ago, when he had just taken office, he approached the ambassador of Sweden in Albania, who was close to expiration of his term, for advice. The advice he received from him was “Talk to the young people as much as possible,” and Zingraf himself said that he has tried to follow that advice during these years, that’s why he organized this meeting with the young people, even though his term of office in Albania will soon run out.
He emphasized the importance of young people in a country like Albania and the development they have brought and bring every day to society.

Zingraf was asked by young people about the most beautiful experiences in Albania, about leadership and skills to become a good leader, about the challenges of being an ambassador, about relationships with family and their support during his mission as an ambassador, etc.
This format of discussions aims to “strip” these figures from their official position and present them before young people as individuals, as people and citizens.
This project is implemented by the organization Destiny Center for Excellence (DCE) in collaboration with the National Youth Congress and the municipality of Tirana, for the Tirana EYC 2022 program.
