TIRANA, Feb 28 /ATA/ The Public Commissioner, within the legal deadline, challenged in the Special Appeals College, near the Constitutional Court, the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission on subject of re-evaluation, Mariola Mërtiri, prosecutor in the Prosecutor’s Office at the First-Instance Court, Tirana.
In a press release, the Public Commissioner announced that, “after reviewing the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission, taking into consideration the Recommendation of the IMO, it deems that this decision is vulnerable in its entirety. The appeal of the Public Commissioner, in the present case, identifies and presents as an issue for judgment, the circumstances and legal facts, for which it assesses that the subject of the re-evaluation has not managed to prove the opposite of the administrative investigation outcome, related to the audit of the assets, integrity and professional proficiency, thus becoming part of the reasons behind the complaint, as it is also presented in the Recommendation act, as well as in the findings presented by the IMO.”
The Public Commissioner requests that the causes of this appeal should be considered by the Special Appeal College and, at the end of the full investigation of the case, it rules to overturn the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission and dismiss the subject of re-evaluation, Mariola Mertiri.
