Coding Program, Rama: 1784 young people have applied, so far

TIRANA, February 23/ATA/ 1784 young people have applied so far to attend the Coding Program for young people, launched in January of the current year.

Prime Minister Edi Rama wrote in a post on social networks and mentioned the example of student Sindi Hamataj, who has chosen Holberton School to deepen her knowledge in programming, with financial support from the Albanian government for the courses of the Coding Program.

Rama said that young people’s applications continue to become part of the technological revolution.

“So far, 1784 young people have applied. Each of them has entered the e-Albania platform in the service “Application for the professional training course with financial support”, said Rama.

In the published video, Sindi Hamataj, a student in the Master’s in Computer Engineering, said that, “On the e-Albania portal I got acquainted with the study program, where the government offered 50-100% reimbursement of the cost of the course and I decided to study at Holberton School to deepen her knowledge in programming”.

The coding program, in addition to the subsidy, will also provide a connection with the labor market, to simplify the interaction between the profiling of young people and the labor market, as well as to enable employment offers for young people with wages comparable to the international market, immediately after the end of the course.

The subsidy from the government goes up to 50% of the cost, while for some more vulnerable categories it goes up to 100%./k.s/ /gj.m/p.s./
