TIRANA, Feb 23 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/ The chairman of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, told the media outside the Assembly that he did not care about the ruling of Tirana court on DP stamp.
Responding to the concern of DP MP, Gazment Bardhi, that there was no quorum to pass the 3 draft laws, Balla said that the legislators can challenge that.
“The last person who cares about the ruling on DP on March 3 is me. I have no concern at all. Even in the Assembly hall, the deputies were saying to each other, no, ‘I win, not you!’ Whoever wins, the important thing is that the Albanian citizens understood that this whole story of deadlock is about a pressure that one side puts on the other side, or that one side puts on justice. I am not an oracle, I cannot predict the decision that the court will hand down. Today the Assembly discussed a decision of the Constitutional Court handed down yesterday and the decision of the Constitutional Court is important and must be executed. The final court decisions are not subject of discussion by the parties in that case,” said Balla.
In reply to the question why the government has not executed the decision of the Constitutional Court on the National Theatre, Balla said that “that decision of the Constitutional Court has not been published yet.
Balla emphasized that the decisions of the Constitutional Court are final and as such are implemented.
“Whether one party agrees to the way it is implemented, how it is implemented, it is another matter and it is a matter of interpretation on your part. All decisions of the Constitutional Court today have been implemented. Regarding the case in question, there was a complaint from the opposition MPs regarding the quorum, regarding the presence, but in any case there is an opportunity to challenge it. Even in the case of the decision of the Conference of Chairmen to review at a second moment the request for a parliamentary Commission of Inquiry. The decision has been published. If one party does not agree with it, it has the possibility to appeal either in the session or in the Constitutional Court”, said Balla.
