TIRANA, February 15/ATA/ The egg production industry in the country has multiplied egg exports in quantity and value during the month of January this year compared to the same period last year.
During the period January 2023/January 2022, egg exports have tripled in quantity, reaching 217 thousand kg. In terms of value, exports increased fivefold, due to the higher price, reaching almost 53 million Lekë.
In the last 10 years, according to the customs data, this is the highest amount of egg export for January. The increase in exports has started since December 2022. If compared to the same period in 2021, exports are 24 times higher.
The exports of “Made in Albania” eggs go mainly to Croatia, Greece and Serbia.
The egg production industry in Albania is experiencing progressive growth from year to year.
The country produces more than 900 million eggs annually. The expansion of poultry complexes has not only increased the standards of this industry in our country, but has also increased the production of eggs, some of which meet the demand of the domestic market and are also exported to the countries of the region and beyond./p.s./
