TIRANA, February 14/ATA/ Two young couples, Enkel Subashi with Xhulia Balla and Emiliano Kullolli with Adelina Bardhi, chose St. Valentine’s Day to get married and register their marriage by Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj.
Surrounded by flowers and under the sound of music, the couples also planted trees for their love.
“Today, it is a very beautiful day to be in Tirana. This city was founded on love for people, love for work, love for this community to move forward. For a city founded on love, there can only be good days. Today, I am really happy that we had several marriage registrations and some fellow citizens said yes to each other to start their lives in Tirana, to start a new family here that makes Tirana bigger, but I say that it makes Tirana even more beautiful”, said Veliaj.
As Mayor Veliaj congratulated the couples, he said that Tirana needs love more than division.
“Many congratulations on the marriage, many congratulations on the coming baby, and to all the couples and lovers of Tirana. I believe the time has come for each of us to reflect. In this city, we need love more than hate and division. We need work more than violence. We need more to say congratulations to each other than to curse anyone who works and succeeds.
