Lame: 250,000 ownership certificates issued during 2022

TIRANA, Feb  14 /ATA/ The director of the Albanian Cadastre, Artan Lame, said that during 2022, 250,000 ownership certificates were issued as compared to 127,000 that were issued in 2018.

Lame revealed these figures during a hearing session at the Parliamentary Law Committee focused on the enforcement of the 20/20 law “On the termination of transitory ownership processes in the Republic of Albania.”

Lame said that, today, the application time for receiving services has also been significantly reduced.

“When you apply, the average time of providing services, if you can check out the charts, from 130 days has dropped to 21 days. Last year it was 23 days, the  year before last was 24 days. After the entry into force of the law, there are drastic changes. In 2022, the average time stands at 22 days. Theoretically, we are within the legal deadline, which is 21 days. At this point the challenge of the institution is the quality of the response. After meeting the legal deadlines, we must address the issue of returning quality response through “e-Albania” since everything is now online,” said Lame.

He said that the total number of applications has reached 1.5 million in 2021 from 735,000 applications in 2018. While 2022 has recorded 1.2 million applications.

According to him, there are 1,900 unanswered applications in 2022 out of 1.2 million applications.
