TIRANA, February 8 /ATA/ The government will review the salaries of the administration employees for some professions like information technology specialist, lawyer, engineer or economist so that to become competitive and attract the best experts into the public administration.
Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, at the same time Minister of Infrastructure and Energy said that, “The government has launched a thorough study of the market regarding special professions, related to technological or digital developments, such as the employees of the National Agency of Information Society, National Authority for Electronic Certification and Cyber Security (AKCESK) or State Authority for Geospatial Information ASIG who will soon be able to manage the imaging of drones and satellites, but without leaving aside the lawyers, the engineers who today are treated in different ways in the private or international market”, said Deputy Prime Minister Balluku.
IT employees, but also engineers, lawyers or financiers, said Balluku, receive higher salaries today in the private market than those in the public administration.
“To open this market and make it competitive even within the state administration, we will have to make legal adjustments, including the way of treatment. Today, in the market, we compete in these professions, in a very difficult way due to the low level of salaries in the private sector”, said Balluku./gj.m/p.s./
