TIRANA, Feb 2 /ATA/ The Commissioner for the Right to Information and Protection of Personal Data, Besnik Dervishi, hosted in a meeting Ambassador Guido De Sanctis, Chairman of the Presence of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
Commissioner Dervishi expressed his gratitude for the contribution and support given over the years by the OSCE to the Office of the Commissioner, as well as for the fruitful joint projects developed in both areas of institutional responsibility.
During the meeting, Ambassador De Sanctis got acquainted with the role, functions and activities of the Commissioner’s Office, as well as with the process of aligning the national regulatory framework for the protection of personal data with the EU acquis and improving the law on the right to information.
The parties discussed and agreed to continue this cooperation as part of awareness about the exercise of fundamental rights and freedoms by citizens.
