TIRANA, February 2/ATA/ The Assembly convened today in plenary session with a group of lawmakers of the Democratic Party in opposition requesting a motion and discussion with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The opposition requested a motion and discussion with Prime Minister Edi Rama on the case of the former FBI official McGonigal.
In his speech in the Assembly, DP Lawmaker Luciano Boçi gave arguments in favor of the opposition’s request for a motion on PM Rama.
He argued that PM Rama and his close collaborators have been put under investigation in their attempt of financing efforts to eliminate the country’s opposition.
On his part, Head of the parliamentary group of the ruling Socialist Party Taulant Balla expressed his opinion against the opposition’s request.
The Assembly put on vote the opposition’s request to change the agenda, where it was requested that the motion be part of it.
“With 39 votes in favor, 66 against, the Assembly rejected the request and continues with its agenda,” said the Speaker of the Assembly Lindita Nikolla. /j.p/p.s./
