TIRANA, January 22/ATA/ There is work underway for building the big bridge of Kukës over the Drini River in Northern Albania. The bridge is part of the Road of the Nation and is expected to be fully completed by spring.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today photos of the works on this bridge writing that this bridge has a special architecture and structure made of steel in a length of 310 meters.
The new Kukës bridge will have two concrete foundations on the shores of the lake, while its length will be a metal construction, with a large arch without intermediate legs.
The Big Bridge of Kukës will connect both banks of the Drini River to the Road of the Nation.
It will replace the existing old bridge that has been carrying thousands of vehicles over the years for more than 45 years. /gj.m/p.s./
