Road to Archaeological Site of Bylis, ready in June

TIRANA, Jan 14 /ATA/ The political leader of the Socialist Party in the district of Fier, Taulant Balla together with the mayor of Mallakastra Qerim Ismailaj and the MP Ismet Beqiraj inspected on Saturday the works being carried out on the road that connects the highway with Hekal and the Archeological Park of Bylis.

Balla said that this segment will be delivered in June, adding that tourists can now visit Bylis, this gem of Albanian archaeology, since the infrastructure will no longer be obsolete.

“June is the deadline for completing the works on this very important segment for the Mallakastra area. With the completion of this important work, Bylis the gem of Albanian archaeology as I prefer to call it, becomes accessible to all tourists who have had a hard time visiting it due to obsolete infrastructure. This road is being built up to the best standards,” said Balla.

“The development of agritourism is also important for the area, so I appeal to all those from Malkastra, to reconsider coming back and converting their old houses into agritourism, as Bylis is one of the greatest archaeological assets not only of Albania, but of the entire Balkans,” said Balla.
