TIRANA, Jan 5 /ATA/ The chairman of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, on Thursday in a televised interview, touched on procedures for the selection of SP candidates for mayors in the May 14 local elections.
“SP has experience gained in many elections and has an alliance beyond itself. The Alliance with other ordinary people of the country is often seen as rhetoric, but in many countries, not only in Albania, many political parties use polls as the least fallible instrument to get the feedback of the citizens,” he said.
Balla emphasized that the survey is useful because it goes beyond your party.
“The chances are that if you hold a vote within the party, the one who is elected may be the best supporter but not the best administrator. We have concluded the polls in many municipalities and in the first days of this new year we will also wrap up the polls,” he said.
Balla emphasized that there is also a new role of city councils by transforming them into local parliaments.
