TIRANA, December 26/ATA/ The number of visitors increased by 44% in October, compared to October of last year.
The latest data published by the Institute of Statistics for accommodation structures show that there has been an increase in capacity utilization of accommodation structures. The increase is reflected both for resident and non-resident visitors.
During the month of October 2022, there was an increase in the number of visitors by 44.3%, compared to October 2021.
The number of resident visitors who have been accommodated in the central region has recorded the highest increase with 85.7%. In coastal areas, this indicator has increased by 87.6%, compared to the same period of last year.
The number of resident visitors who have been accommodated in hotels and similar accommodations has recorded the highest increase with 40%.
The total number of overnight stays has increased by 32.5%, compared to October 2021.
Referring to the data, the number of overnight stays by residents has increased by 40.8%, while the number of overnight stays by non-residents has increased by 27.5%./p.s./
