Foreign representatives in Tirana extend Christmas greetings

TIRANA, Dec 25 /ATA/ – The diplomatic corps representatives accredited to Albania sent their warmest Christmas greetings to the Albanian citizens as Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus on Sunday, 25 December.

On occasion of Christmas Day, the United States Embassy and the Delegation of the European Union in Tirana extended their best wishes and voiced solidarity and support for Albania’s effort to deliver on its EU integration process.

“As 2022 comes to a close, we look back at an important year for Albania in these trying times marked by human resilience and European solidarity. Our work in bringing Albania closer to the EU continues to deliver: the start of accession negotiations and the Tirana Summit were key milestones. We are bound by the same values and we stand strong together,” the EU Delegation said in its Christmas message.

“On behalf of the staff of the EU Delegation to Albania, I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!” said Christiane Hohmann, EU Ambassador to Albania.

The U.S. Embassy also extended Christmas wishes to the Albanian citizens.

“Merry Christmas from all of us at the U.S. Embassy! Happy holidays and best wishes for a happy and prosperous new year,” the Embassy said in its message.
